Current portal capabilities

Build a campaign riders can understand—and your team can control.

This guide covers the complete Sponsor Portal workflow: create, fund, target, verify, launch, monitor, and manage a Hytch reward campaign.

Create

Four steps from idea to launch

The wizard saves the important decisions for the moment they make sense. Work in order, or save a draft once the campaign has a name.

01

Start

Choose a starting point

Use a template when the goal is familiar, or start blank when every rule needs to be custom.

  • Templates prefill a practical mix of rewards, schedule, and verification settings.
  • The rider-facing name appears on the campaign carrot in the Hytch app.
  • You can change every template setting before launch.
02

Rewards

Set the reward and capacity

Decide what one verified trip earns and the maximum Reward Points the campaign may issue.

  • Standard campaigns pay one reward per person; SafeRide campaigns can split rewards between riders and drivers.
  • Add a daily cap to control pacing. Advanced controls include hourly caps and per-person limits.
  • If the campaign exceeds spendable capacity, reduce it, buy a Reward Pack, or ask an organization admin to add capacity.

Live campaigns reserve their configured capacity, so reserved points are not available to another campaign.

03

Where & when

Choose locations and schedule

Target all active locations or a selected set, then define the days and hours when rewards are available.

  • Choose at least one location when using selected-location targeting.
  • Leave both time fields blank to run all day; otherwise hours follow each location’s local timezone.
  • Use an optional date range for a limited promotion, event, or seasonal campaign.

Some organization account types are city-wide and do not require venue or geofence selection.

04

Verification

Decide what proves the action

GPS arrival is always required. Add stronger checks when the reward or venue needs more certainty.

  • QR verification supports a printed static code, a staff-presented rotating code, or both.
  • Social verification requires a live post from the venue; recall and prior posts do not count.
  • Dwell time can require a stay of 2–60 minutes after GPS arrival.

QR campaigns require explicit location assignments. Receipt photos appear only when enabled for the account and remain supporting evidence—not a reward gate.

Review & launch

Check the rider experience before committing capacity

The review screen brings the reward, locations, schedule, dates, and verification rules together in one place.

Launch checklist

  • The rider-facing name is clear without extra context.
  • Reward value and total capacity match the campaign goal.
  • Locations, local hours, days, and dates are correct.
  • Every selected verification check is realistic for riders and staff.
  • The rider preview says what you expect people to see.

Save draft

Drafts stay hidden from riders and reserve no capacity. The portal keeps them for 30 days.

Rider preview

Preview the live offer so the reward, location, and verification language are clear.

If launch is blocked by capacity, billing readiness, plan limits, or an active-campaign limit, the portal preserves the work and shows the next available action.

Manage

Keep control after launch

Open a campaign from the Campaigns list to see its status, remaining capacity, issuance, schedule, verification rules, and available actions.

Edit

Update locations, schedule, capacity, reward rules, and verification settings.

Pause or resume

Stop issuing without removing the campaign, then resume when it is ready.

Duplicate

Copy a proven setup and adjust it for a new location, schedule, or offer.

Manage QR codes

Generate and manage campaign codes for printing or staff presentation.

Share publicly

Create, replace, share, or disable a public campaign opportunity link.

Export results

Download campaign activity as CSV when the organization’s plan includes exports.

Review performance

Use campaign detail and Analytics to understand issuance and campaign health.

Archive or restore

Archive to stop rewards and preserve history; restore later as a draft for review.

Archiving stops rewards, returns any eligible unused reserved capacity, and keeps the reporting history. Restoring brings the campaign back as a draft so the schedule and capacity can be reviewed before it goes live again.

Troubleshooting

When something is blocked

Most campaign blockers are protective limits, not lost work. Start with the status and action shown by the portal.

Campaign will not launch+

Check spendable Reward Points, unsettled purchases, billing readiness, the organization plan, and the active-campaign allowance.

QR verification cannot be enabled+

Assign explicit active locations first. Each QR code must belong to a campaign location.

Campaign is not visible to riders+

Confirm it is live—not a draft, paused, or archived—and that the current day, time, and date are inside its schedule.

An action is missing+

Some controls depend on role, plan, account type, and campaign status. Ask an organization admin when purchasing or export controls are unavailable.
